Rabbi Melinda Mersack


Rabbi Melinda Mersack is the Director at jHUB. She is a Rabbis Without Borders Fellow of CLAL and a Brickner Fellow of the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism, in addition to being a graduate of the M2 Senior Educators Cohort and a participant in their Relational Learning Circle. Each year, she attends summer camp as visiting faculty and is an advocate for interreligious dialogue and social justice. Rabbi Melinda loves spending time outside with her kids and exploring cool areas in Greater Cleveland. She earned a B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis, and a Master of Hebrew Letters and ordination from the Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion. Danya Shapiro

Family Program Manager

Danya Shapiro is the Family Program Manager for jHUB. She runs social and holiday programs and helps families connect to each other and to Jewish life in Greater Cleveland. She has a diverse background in Jewish movements, including five years working in Israel with Jewish groups from around the world. Danya is also an artist, specializing in Judaic fabric arts. She has a B.A. in Environmental Education and Art from The Evergreen State College and a Master of Early Childhood Education from Arcadia University. Samia Mansour

Communications and Events Manager

Samia Mansour is the Communications and Events Manager for jHUB. She creates new opportunities for young couples to connect with each other while exploring Cleveland and Jewish culture and values, as well as manages jHUB’s social media presence and email communications. She loves to travel, cook (and eat!), and go on runs throughout Cleveland. Before jHUB, she spent seven years at Oberlin College Hillel working to create a vibrant and inclusive Jewish community on campus. She earned a B.A. from Oberlin College and Conservatory and a Master’s Degree in Social Work with a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Case Western Reserve University.
